In any structure, be it a house, bridge, etc., “PILLARS” hold these structures together. You knock down the PILLARS and the building and the structures crumble down. Why “MEN”? In almost all the instances that God spoke to humanity, He spoke to men. In Galatians 2:9-10, James, Peter and John (men) are described as PILLARS of the church. Men have a very special place in God’s favor. Men are supposed to be PILLARS in their homes, churches, and in the communities.

As the scriptures tells us, “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” (1 Cor. 11:3). If the man is not being the head of his house, he will be neglecting his Christ given role. As a ministry we put special focus to men on this area from a biblical perspective.

Our program

Our program within this realm mainly involves providing tools to foster livelihood and independence amongst men such as widowers, the elderly and the disabled.

One empowerment tool we use is donating chicken coups and goats to them. By donating 10 chickens or 1-2 goats, they can earn a living by selling eggs, chickens, goat milk, and breeding goats. We also assist in the creation of individual kitchen gardens for them and where resources allow, install rainwater harvesting technology for clean water.

Another tool for them include, small business start-up courses in welding, carpentry, masonry works, plumbing, etc.  (2 times a week, 2 hrs. each meeting).

After supplying these means of empowerment, we provide financial education so that they can become fully independent and profitable long-term. This money not only feed their children, buys clothes, and pay for school fees, but it also allows them to escape the cycle of dependency.

Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ encompasses all our activities altogether.
